We’d love to get to know you, but don’t worry we’ll break the ice first! Read through so you can get to know us a little better, that is of course when we aren’t head first in creating, brainstorming, emailing and all-round solving.
Enjoy and feel free to share a bit about yourself!
What projects have you been working on lately?
At the moment I am currently working on a mix of projects from an interactive flyer for HONDA, a branded packaging piece for a campaign running with Credabl and Qantas, as well as multiple communication pieces with American Express!
What is something you’ve learnt in your role?
I think one of the stand out things I have learnt being an Account Manager in this industry is your ability to be highly strategic and a peaceful sounding board between client and designer. I think with the two you can really maximise a project and deliver amazing work.
Anything that’s got you glued to the screen at the moment?
I love a good drama. And I have been completely obsessed with Unreal. The show is a fictional series with a ‘BTS’ focus on the iconic Bachelor/Bachelorette tv series. You’ll never watch any Bachelor season the same again, it’s truly unreal and definite binge watch material!
What has been your most favourite or latest purchase? And why?
I’ve recently moved house, so it’s been nesting galore at the moment. I’d say 90% of my purchases recently have been from Kmart and I am not ashamed of it. Their homeware’s section never disappoints – my fav two purchases for the house were these beautiful ceramic bowls and this baby pink velvet chair that’s made the perfect addition to the sunroom!
How would you describe your style? And where are you finding inspo from at the moment?
I’m big on comfort, so my daily wardrobe mostly consists of oversized jumpers, relaxed tops, loose fitting trousers and my newest most treasured RM William boots! Although, it’s warming up, so you’ll probably see me swap the trousers for a relaxed skirt partnered with a basic tee and converse. Some of my fav looks are here, here, here, oh and.. here! Really it’s ever changing, but with a big focus on basic, easy and comfort!
With an abundance of amazing Café’s in Syd, it’s hard to keep up! Any newbies to add to the list?
My friend and I recently went to this cute little café/restaurant in Surry Hills called Gratia. It’s a profit-for-purpose business, that donates 100% of its profits to a range of non-profit causes and charities. The menu is designed by the guys at Oz Harvest, using ingredients that would not usually make it to the restaurant table. Highly recommend!
What are you tuning out to lately?
Don’t you just love when your Spotify algorithm gets it right? I was kindly gifted the introduction to a Chicago based duo Na’el Shehade and Via Rose. Going by the name DRAMA, their sound is an alluring blend of R&B and Dance with that velvety hint of Soul. Safe to say I’m slowly but surely becoming a number one fan!
What did you last purchase tickets for?
I recently went to the Shakespeare Pop Up Globe at the Entertainment Quarter. I am a big Midsummer Night’s Dream fan, so I was obviously very excited when I heard they were bringing the Globe to Sydney. I believe New Zealand actually started the Pop Up Globe, hoping to bring a bit of London to the scene, and since gaining much popularity they’ve been touring Aus! It’s a must see – with a traditional full male cast, spoken in Shakespearean dialect and a hint of 21st Century humour (and Kiwi/Maori influence)! The Globe is built up with raw scaffolding and an open roof, so you feel like you’re sitting in the real deal. Word of advice though is to wear a raincoat (and not for the rain), you never know if you’ll get covered in blood! I hear Macbeth is the worst…. You can get your tix at Ticketmaster!
